Prior to starting Weirick Communications, Amy Weirick honed her story
telling skills working in the media trenches -- during more than

and Broadcast Reporter in radio and television newsrooms in Illinois,
Pennsylvania and Ohio. In 1991, Amy was awarded televisions celebrated
Emmy Award for Best Newscast. A frequently published author, Amys

Amy also managed the Public Relations Office of the Ohio Division of
Travel and Tourism. There, she was responsible for communications planning
and management of all day-to-day public relations, industry relations,
promotion and communications activities for Ohios tourism office.
Amy more than tripled the amount of publicity generated by the Division
to well over $2 million per year. Under her leadership, the amount of
publicity generated continued to grow each year with no budget increase.
That positive publicity resulted in 1-800-BUCKEYE, Ohios toll
free tourism hotline, becoming the most-called state tourism hotline
in the nation. She led the Division to become the first state in the
U.S. to launch a state-sponsored website.
Amy also has served as Media Relations Director for Nancy Flynn Public
Relations, where she developed and implemented strategic marketing and
communications plans for such clients as Dick Clark Restaurants, PricewaterhouseCoopers,
