Parade of Homes launches The Hills Market Chef Series

Chef Nate FarleyCOLUMBUS, OH – The Building Industry Association of Central Ohio today announced a new partnership with The Hills Market for the 2015 Parade of Homes. The Hills Market Chef Series will feature cooking demonstrations and tastings in the gorgeous gourmet kitchens of the Parade homes. Each day, Thursday-Saturday, The Hills Market Chef Nate Farley will visit a different Parade house kitchen to share his expertise with Parade-goers. Farley will demonstrate a series of creative recipes and entertaining ideas and will offer samples and printed recipes for guests to take home. Just in time for holiday entertaining, yet perfect for every day, the Chef Series features will include everything from hors d’oeuvres and elegant plating to how to cook the perfect turkey or make great tailgate sliders.

“Parade goers are looking for great ideas for decorating and improving their own homes.  But they’re also seeking entertaining and easy ways to share beautiful food with family and friends,” BIA Executive Director Jim Hilz said. “The Parade of Homes and The Hills Market are the ideal partners to offer this experience to Parade guests.”

Guests will also have the opportunity to bake with the best, as the expert bakers from Soodles Bakery join Chef Farley on Thursday, Oct. 1 at the Hills Market Chef Series to make delectable, gluten-free desserts. In addition, Hills Market Floral Director Jan Hoak will show Parade guests how to set a dazzling table by arranging fresh flowers like a pro. The 2015 BIA Parade of Homes takes place Saturday, Sept. 19 through Sunday, Oct. 4 at the Northstar Community in Delaware County. Parade hours are Monday-Saturday: 11 a.m.-7 p.m. and Sunday: 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Tickets are $15 at the door, and advance discount tickets are available online for $12. Children 12 and under are free and parking is $5 per car.  The Parade is sponsored by First Federal Lending, America’s Floor Source and Royal Building Products.
