COLUMBUS, OH — The Building Industry Association of central Ohio announced today that this year’s BIA Parade of Homes Foundation Home is built by Weaver Custom Homes. The 2015 Parade is slated for Sept. 19-Oct. 4, and will take place in one of central Ohio’s newest and most beautiful golf course community, Northstar Community in Delaware County. This year’s parade will feature a six homes crafted by the region’s premier home builders.
The 2015 Foundation House not only gives Parade guests brilliant ideas for their own homes, but it also gives back to the community. The sale of the Foundation Home benefits Habitat for Humanity, Nationwide Children’s Hospital, BIA Scholarships and other charities through the BIA Foundation. Suppliers, trades and other generous industry professionals donate or deeply discount services, tools and materials in order to lower the cost of building the home. That means that the lucky Parade guest who purchases this home will end up with many added features, upgrades and built-in extras. In addition, more money from the sale of this incredible four-bedroom house goes directly to local charities via the BIA Foundation.
The 3,800-square-foot Foundation Home features a rich first-floor master retreat with its luxurious spa master bath; a large finished basement, well-appointed gourmet kitchen, unique stone and plank walls and expansive windows that flood the great room with natural light. Impressive 10-foot walls give the feel of much loftier ceilings, without the added expense of heating unused multi-level vaulted ceilings. The magnificent home also boasts beautiful reclaimed barn wood underfoot on the main level and a gleaming warm-toned epoxy resin floor in the finished basement where a huge projector screen home theater, a wet bar and plenty of room for comfortable couches and recliners create the ideal entertaining space.
Located just north of I-270 off of I-71 in Delaware County and just minutes from Polaris, the 2015 Parade of Homes site is accessible to one of Central Ohio’s major job centers. Northstar Community offers homeowners stunning new homes and the area’s most desirable amenities within the award-winning Big Walnut Local School District. Developed by Nationwide Realty Investors and Robert Weiler Companies Northstar Community is a 1,700-acre mixed-use development that when completed will feature more than 1,300 single-family homes, as well as 300 acres of commercial sites and locations for elementary and middle schools. The Parade site is located between the 9th, 10th and 12th holes on the 7,500-yard, 18-hole John Cook-designed NorthStar Golf Course, with home sites offering pastoral and scenic views of the course.
